The Teddy Bears Twisted Picnic @ The Gypsy Rose (Oct. 28th 2012)

Posted in Gig Listing, Music with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 15, 2012 by Tickets There
The Gypsy Rose needs a bit of good cheer after a very tough week last week for both staff and customers. The sad passing of LJ Aherne won’t soon be forgotten, but if Mr Long John was around he’d be the first person to get everyone in good spirits. The task will now fall to the special Temple Street Hospital fundraiser being run by a few of the regulars on the bank holiday Sunday.

The Teddy Bears Twisted Picnic: A NIGHT OF CLASSIC ROCK FOR TEMPLE STREET CHILDREN’S UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Halloween is almost upon us, so whether you’re a confirmed or closet rocker, here’s one for your diary which you simply can’t miss! A night of classics from AC/DC, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and all your favourite rock bands, then bang your head into the early hours with the DJ playing all the way home… and it’s bank holiday weekend, so a Monday lie in for most of us is allowed! …

In addition to a night of full throttle rock anthems, there will be a prize draw and much more.

  • Doors will open at 8:30 PM,
  • All drinks are at the special price of €4 til 11, and..
  • Fancy dress is encouraged!
  • All proceeds from admission and prize draw will be donated to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.

Lluther Announce New Years Eve Dublin Show

Posted in IRISH NOISE!, Music, News with tags , , on December 8, 2010 by Tickets There

Dublin Industrial rockers Lluther have announced they will play a special New Years Eve show in the Gypsy Rose hard rock bar on Aston Quay (the old Viper Rooms venue). While the price and details are still TBC, we at Tickets There are delighted to announce that after hours of feverish research, dangerous complex equations and extreme calculation techniques, the date will be in or around December 31st. Obviously this is a calculated guess rather than a certainty using the basis that New Years Eve by tradition has equalled December 31st in previous years. It sounds so simple when you spell it out like that but the complexity of the task has taken it’s toll on all of us here. Things may never be the same again.

Not too worry, we should be back on our feet when full details have been announced.

Lluther / Oliver Cole: Dublin Shows This Saturday

Posted in Gig Listing, Music, News with tags , , , , , , on October 21, 2010 by Tickets There

Decisions, decisions. Two great shows, two different venues all on the same night! What’s a gig goer to do?

This Saturday night sees local hard rock heroes Lluther play Dublin’s newest rock venue, The Gypsy Rose on Aston Quay while up the road at The Workman’s Club, local soulful singer songwriter Oliver Cole and his band, The Leaks will be playing a selection of tracks from his debut solo album, We Albatri and if you’re lucky a few select choices from his previous band Turn’s back catalogue.

Tickets for Lluther are a very modest €5 while Ollie’s are going for €12. Both great deals so the choice is yours. One things that may tip the balance…both venues are practically beside each other (Gypsy Rose may be familiar to some as the former Viper Room bar and nightclub), so why not do both. Leather for Lluther, scarf’s for Ollie and you’re golden!

October 23rd

  • Oliver Cole & The Leaks: The Workman’s Club, Tickets €12
  • Lluther: The Gypsy Rose, Tickets €5
