The uber cheap, ultra sweet EVILE show at the Button Factory has been regrettably postponed. The band have had to push out all their up and coming UK and Irish shows. No new date has been announced yet but keep an eye on Dublin Metal Events and Tickets There (I’d go with D.M.E.) for news on the new date. Statement from the band below,

“Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond control we unfortunately have to postpone our upcoming shows in September across the UK & Ireland. We apologise sincerely to everyone who was planning to attend. The shows aren’t being cancelled outright, they will be happening sometime next year so all tickets will still be valid at the same value when the shows have found new dates.

In 14 years of playing shows we have only purposefully cancelled two shows, broken down on the way to four, and missed another two because of delayed flights, which isn’t a bad record for all the years we’ve been playing so postponing these September shows isn’t a decision we’ve made lightly.

When we have new dates for the shows in 2014 we will announce them, as mentioned previously all tickets will still be valid. Again, we apologise for the postponement”.”Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond control we unfortunately have to postpone our upcoming shows in september across the UK & Ireland. PSYKOSIS and SCIMITAR Added to EVILE Gig

19892_497862090282528_1945574900_nA happy day for Tickets There as Psykosis and Scimitar have been added as the main support to Evile when they make their September (low price) return to Dublin.

After reportedly playing a blinder supporting Kreator back in April; the English thrash metal legends are returning to Dublin for their very own show. Why go see them twice in one year? Well, because they kick ass, they’re only charging €7.50 for the ticket and now they have the mighty Psykosis supporting them. If you need more reasons (*insert mocking expletives here about yourself*).

September 27th @The Button Factory. Tickets €7.50 – Doors 7.00PM

Official blurb from DME below and the official Facebook Event Page for Dublin can be found here.

The tour promises a great night of rock that you can sing along to from beginning to end. SKID ROW and UGLY KID JOE announce a 29 city, 12 country co-headline tour of Europe and the UK. Dates will kick off in England on Oct 22nd and run through Nov 26th ending in Austria. With combined sales of millions of albums, each band will play a full set of the songs fans want to hear.

Led by founding members Rachel Bolan, Snake Sabo and Scotti Hill, along with powerhouse vocalist and 14 year veteran of the band Johnny Solinger and new drummer Rob Hammersmith , SKID ROW will deliver the best from their catalogue of gold and platinum albums and anthemic singles like “Youth Gone Wild”, “Monkey Business”, “I Remember You”, “18 & Life” and many more. They will also showcase tracks from their new mini-album United World Rebellion Chapter 1 which features songs such as “Kings Of Demolition” and “ This Is Killing Me”, tracks which easily stand up along with the band’s classics.

After a run of hugely successful festival dates in Summer 2012, UGLY KID JOE’s Whit, Klaus and Cordell, along with Snot/ Sevendust guitarist Sonny Mayo and Zac Morris are back for their first full European tour. In Summer 2013, they will release Stairway To Hell, their first new music since 1996. The album features six brand new songs along with three acoustic versions of songs from their past. Tracks like “Everything About You”, “Cats In The Cradle”, “Neighbor” and “Milkman’s Son” continue to receive airplay around the world, while new singles “Devil’s Paradise” and “I’m Alright” show where the band are headed. UKJ’s Whit promises “it will be RAD!”.

2013-queensrycheBad news for all the Todd La Torre fans out there as Queensryche have had to postpone their Dublin show which was due to take place on April 19th. Instead, the band will return to play the show on October 18th and will move to The Button Factory. Original tickets are still valid.

The postponement applies to all of the bands schedule European dates so fear not, they haven’t singled out Ireland (like Rob [f**ko] Zombie – in case you forgot…because I never will).
