EHT Announces Second UNLEASHED FESTIVAL

EHT have announced details for the second UNLEASHED FESTIVAL which is due to take place in Fibber MaGee’s this September. 28 bands have been announced so far with more to come. Once again the festival will take place over three days, with the third day being opened up for under age fans (no vodka, whiskey, tequila cocktails for you though – Ha!….my live hurts).

Sinocence, Malevolence and Sworn Against are topping the bills with some undeniably massive names from our local scene popping up over the three days, including Killface, Animator, Vile Regression, AeSect, Hollow Truth and many, many more. No details have been released on weekend tickets, but entry to the Friday and Saturday shows will cost a mere €8 each. Full line’s and dates can be viewed below. WATERFORD METAL FEST COMETH

Cunning Metal Promotions are bringing some of the hottest name from the Irish metal scene to Waterford this month for a night of unadulterated lunacy.

WARPATH are set to headline the Waterford Metal Fest which is taking place in The Forum on January 25^th. Also on the bill are Psykosis, Killface, Atominated, Xenocide, Animator, Zhora, Awaken Dominion, Uproot Chaos and 12 Guage Outrage, Legion of Wolves with more to be added. Entry is just €7 and the whole thing is due to kick off around 3pm.

Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses is on! With Heat 1 wrapped up last night (the still waiting to hear the winners), there are now six heats left before the grand final on July 13^th in Fibber MaGee’s. The Annual battle of the bands gives local talent from around the Europe a chance to play at this year’s Bloodstock Festival, as well as three other European festivals (W.O.A. 2014, Metal Camp, SL 2014 and OST in Romania).

Some of the biggest names in Irish metal are involved in the competition with another couple of bands (TT counts 1) still to be announced. A full list of the various heats happening between now and May can be found below. TT will be doing a weekly feature on each winner as they’re announced with the possibility of us begging our choice from the final seven for an interview. Like on our knees begging, none of this email nonsense.

Molten Magazine Battle of the Bands – IRE/N.I. Semi Final 1 & 2 This Week (DUBLIN / BELFAST)

The semi-final rounds of the Molten Battle of the Bands take place this week in Dublin and Belfast. The winners of each stage will go forward for the grand final in London to compete for the grand prize which includes,

Track Number 1 on Molten Underground Compilation, recorded at Envy Studios in the UK and Produced by Stefano Morabito (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance, Bloodshot Dawn).
Two page main feature in Molten Magazine to coincide with the compilations release.
A festival slot on Portugal’s SWR Festival for 2013.
A professional High Definition Music Video, produced by Dead Parrot Productions.
Fifty shirts printed for free with a 1 colour design to sell as merchandise.
