Overoth Announce Wacken Warm Up Show

Great news for Dublin death metal fans – OVEROTH are coming to town. The band have been announced as next week’s Club Carnage headliners. Overoth are using the show as a warm up before they jet off to play the W.O.A. 2013 festival. Support on the night will come from Dirge In Extremis (Dublin – Black Metal), Scylla (Kerry – Black Metal) and 1 more TBA. Oh, did I mention it’s all for free?

Overoth were crowned champions of the 2013 Wacken Metal Battle and will play alongside finalists from all over the world at the Wacken Festival. Previous Irish winners include Warpath (2012) and Coldwar (2011). The band will play in front of thousands of fans in two weeks before returning to Dublin in mid-August to headline the second night of The Unleashed Festival.

Black Metal Assault @ The Pint This Saturday, May 25th

977761_10151651962837089_931681852_oBlack metal fans in Ireland are probably the most hard done by in terms of gigs; but no more! This Saturday (May 25th) The Pint will host a full on Black Metal Assault with four bands playing on the night. Topping the bill are British bands, Necro Ritual and Scutum Crux (who are described as ‘Cosmic Black Metal’ – awesome) and they’re supported by Irish bands Dirge In Extremis and Aeternum Vale.

The whole thing will only set you back €10 and we’re sure The Pint will have its usual offers upstairs (all spirits & mixers a fiver from what I remember – might even better than that).
