Lluther / Oliver Cole: Dublin Shows This Saturday

Posted in Gig Listing, Music, News with tags , , , , , , on October 21, 2010 by Tickets There

Decisions, decisions. Two great shows, two different venues all on the same night! What’s a gig goer to do?

This Saturday night sees local hard rock heroes Lluther play Dublin’s newest rock venue, The Gypsy Rose on Aston Quay while up the road at The Workman’s Club, local soulful singer songwriter Oliver Cole and his band, The Leaks will be playing a selection of tracks from his debut solo album, We Albatri and if you’re lucky a few select choices from his previous band Turn’s back catalogue.

Tickets for Lluther are a very modest €5 while Ollie’s are going for €12. Both great deals so the choice is yours. One things that may tip the balance…both venues are practically beside each other (Gypsy Rose may be familiar to some as the former Viper Room bar and nightclub), so why not do both. Leather for Lluther, scarf’s for Ollie and you’re golden!

October 23rd

  • Oliver Cole & The Leaks: The Workman’s Club, Tickets €12
  • Lluther: The Gypsy Rose, Tickets €5

The Walls Announce Dublin Show

Posted in Gig Listing, IRISH NOISE!, Music, News with tags , , , , on October 21, 2010 by Tickets There

Great news to cheer everyone up this morning! The Walls have announced a Dublin show for November 5th in The Sugar Club.

Currently preparing for the release of their third album Stop The Lights, The Walls have been playing warm up shows around the country this summer using their new 2 man show which involves an array of audio/visual effects and of course, the legendary Steve and Joe Wall performing semi-acoustically. The band released a taster from the album in June in the form of a double A-side single titled Carrying The Fire / Phantom Power and the band have plans to release an EP before the end of the year.

For anyone that hasn’t seen The Walls live yet, this show is a must! You might even get a chance to see a very drunk Tickets There passed out in the smoking area if you’re lucky. It is the Sugar Club after all. We’ll add ticket and support details as soon as they’re released.
