The Pixies or KISS?
Underground alt rock legends, The Pixies are currently playing a few shows in Dublin’s Olympia theatre. Kim Deal, Frank Black and the rest of em are treating fans to some serious hard hitting anthems, written by the pioneers of the grunge / generation X / jilted Generation folk.
Now, I just watched a video of their show last night on NME and it’s of them playing Debaser. Not a song I ever really liked and after watching that performance, not one that’ll convert me any time soon. The playing, singing and harmonies are all totally off and Kim Deal’s backing just sounds pointless. Frank is really the only thing holding it together and on top of all that, it has to be the most boring stage set up in the history of music.
You ask me The Pixies or KISS?

Haha, Pixies or Kiss? Jesus wept. Most boring stage set up? Who gives a shit.

Let’s see. If the band are boring to listen to and the stage show’s as interesting as a foot then…there isn’t an awful lot to keep you interested.
Then again, this is just for fun, not a serious post 😉

If it’s not a serious post then fair enough. But boring to listen to? Most people seem to agree that they were mostly amazing that night, despite the short enough set.

Yep, KISS have album coming out and I’m going to do a different band each day, just for the laugh. KISS are fun!
Boring to Listen to, ehm. Well I saw the Pixies in 2005 and, along with the Police, it was the most boring show I’ve ever seen. Like watching four corpses on stage and I really love the Pixies. I notoriously hated them in college but managed to get turned round. Seeing them live killed that love though.

The Pixie Irish, your comment confuses Tickets There. Didn’t we say that same thing above?

Haha, nice :D. Thinking of doing the same this evening. My computer crashed last week, lost loads of documents that I was working on so all my plans for the next month are off. In those situations, we have pints!!
Did you go anywhere good?
