I’d like to extend my condolences to Iron Maiden and Clive Burr on the news that Clive has passed away. Clive was the backbone of Maiden’s ferocious NWOBHM sound from 1979 to 1982 when he played on the band’s first three albums (Iron Maiden, Killers and Number of the Beast).

Clive has been battling with Multiple Sclerosis for several years and Maiden has helped as much as they could through several fund raising events and concerts. Tickets There hopes Clive has now found peace and his spirit will always live on through the incredible music he helped make.
