Competition: Win Overoth’s Debut Album, ‘Kingdom of Shadows’

If you’d like to win a copy of Wacken Metal Battle finalists, OVEROTH’s, debut album, ‘Kingdom of Shadows’, just pop on over to twitter and start following Tickets There (twitter.com/ticketsthere)

Once we reach 700 followers (51 currently needed) we will pick a random name to win the CD.

Overoth took the crown as Irish champions of the Wacken metal Battle and will be heading to Germany in August to represent us against some of the best up and coming bands from around the world at the Wacken Open Air festival. They’ll play in the largest festival in tent in Europe to 8,000 people in the hopes of becoming world champions. Previous winners include Coldwar (2011) and Warpath (2012)

If you’re not on twitter, now is a good time to start. It’s far less invasive than Facebook and updated more regularly. Here’s a couple of links to get you started,

That’s right folks, no more lines, no more frantic searching for a computer to see if we’ve updated our glorious music blog and more importantly, no more need to follow us on Facebook or Twitter if you’ve finally gotten sick of our non-stop Rambo/Whitesnake rants. The good people from Antics, a weekly show held in Dublin’s coziest venue Crawdaddy,  have offered us a pair of guest list spots for next weeks Robotnik show (April 7th).

Kicking off at 11.00pm, the club offers band, great drink deals (all pints €3 & Jager Bombs €5) and two rooms of DJ’s. Pretty sweet for €5 and even sweeter if it’s free.

WIN Tickets to see ASH & Republic of Loose on March 20th

Competition time folks because the good people at 7Up Free want to give five of our readers the chance to see legendary Irish rockers ASH and local Dublin heroes Republic of Loose live in Dublin on March 20th.

The show marks the culmination of the Bring them back for the Craic competition which is offering a group of 7 friends the ultimate Irish reunion. One lucky group will have the chance to come home from anywhere in the world to celebrate Paddy’s Day. Whether they are in Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore or London, 7up Free will fly them ‘Back for the Craic’ on the 17th March.
